Veteran Family Program
he Veteran Family Program (VFP) supports medically releasing Canadian Armed Forces members, medically released Veterans and their families. The services and resources of the VFP are designed to help ease the transition from military to civilian life and support the health and well-being of families during this time.
A brand-new initiative, the Veteran Family Program has been developed by Military Family Services and is being rolled out at all MFRCs across Canada in a nationwide launch in April 2018.
The Calgary MFRC will provide frontline services for the VFP including information and referral as well as a variety of programs and services specifically developed for the releasing or released member and their families. The Veteran Family Program Coordinator will work closely with the Family Liaison Officer and trained staff and professionals to deliver the suite of programs and services under the VFP.
The Calgary Military Family Resource Centre is here to provide assistance and guidance in the transition from military to civilian life. We understand the unique stressors associated with the military lifestyle, and we are here to offer support to members and their families.
