Military members, families and the general public attended the ceremony held at Mewata Armouries on May 9 in remembrance and recognition of the Canadian soldiers who served in the Afghanistan mission.
The first-ever Breakfast On The Bridge was held at 5 a.m. on June 21 on Calgary's Peace Bridge. The brainchild of George Brookman and West Canadian Graphics, the event was held in honour of military families and commemorated the beginning of World War I, 100 years ago.

This year's Christmas parties were a blast- lots of fun activities for the kids, including crafts, candy, bouncy castles, face painting and children/teen novel giveaways.
An afternoon reception of snacks, hat-making, face-painting and sundae-making, topped off with a funky photo booth was the setup for an evening show of incredible acrobatic feats by Cirque du Soleil!
The second annual Breakfast on the Bridge took place during sunrise on June 20, 2015. This year, the rain stayed away and guests were treated to a spectacular morning, full of sun, laughter, exceptional food and entertainment and honoured guests from both the Canadian and Dutch army.
Yahoo! Our annual family Stampede Breakfast was a big hit again, with new kids games (homemade GaGa pits and human hamster balls!), the ever popular maple walnut icecream and some VIP guests, including Prime Minister Stephen Harper and Minister of Defence Jason Kenney.
Our Calgary Family Christmas Party was another big success! Thank you so much to all the volunteers who helped with set up, tear down and manning all the booths during the day - without you we couldn't pull this off.
The MFRC's Family Christmas Party in Lethbridge was held at the Vimy Ridge Armoury last Friday and it was a hit! We had so many families attend and the catered dinner was fantastic. Santa stopped by for a visit, bringing gifts for each kid and the other activities kept everyone busy.
